So we were on our way to the runway when the pilot came on the PA and notified us that he was taking the plane back to the gate. He informed us that it is a requirement that everyone on the plane has a seat to sit on and that we had one extra person.

I was surprised to hear that, considering I had seen three different flight attendants walk by counting passengers before they shut the doors to the 777ER. They were eventually able to notice the guy standing up looking around for an extra chair who must have been hiding out in the potty until the plane started rolling.

At first I was a little annoyed, thinking that we were going to be arriving at our destination late but the same pilot came on to tell us that it would be a short flight and they’d be able to make up the time.

I was also happy that the guy who kept referring to another passenger’s iPod as “his sh*t” was not in my row anymore.
