“Kids love playing in the park almost as much as they love ice cream. And vice versa. Right?” Overheard on Praise 106.5.
I literally laughed my head off. (That’s for you Jon.)

Reading this brought back every memory of how ~upset~ Jon would get with the over use (or any use for that fact) of exagerations. I’m laughing so hard right now, my spleen is literally starting to come out of my nose!!!

ahem. for the record - I have no problem with exaggeration (plees noat thee speling Mandi). I simply take issue when words attached to the exaggeration are used (incorrectly) to turn the exaggeration into a literal statement.
Sheldon - that is a priceless (mis)use of the English language. Though it is certainly not literally priceless. And while I too laughed so hard my house shook, my neighbours did not experience an earthquake.
Anyway - here’s another favorite misuse of language you can bug me about: I despise misplaced modifiers. For instance: “Could you please get the coats for the children hanging in the closet?” What? As opposed to the children folded neatly in the drawer?
Thanks for the laugh Sheldon. And thbbttt Mandy. (That is my attempt at a virtual raspberry - no not a literal one)

I’m not sure if it is due to the fact that it is a Christian Radio Station that plays Christian Music most of the day or what but I’ve noticed some English issues whenever the on-air personalities come on.

Not sure what you are getting at Mandy. Jon doesn’t even notice this type of stuff.
