Do Over

For the first time in my officiating career, I had a do over.

I called a penalty shot in my game on Sunday night. After giving instructions to the shooter and the goalie, I blew my whistle for the PS to begin. The goalie left his crease immediately rather than waiting for the player to touch the puck at center and because he stopped the shot, we did it all over again.

Other than that, and the fact I had completed a turkey dinner less than two hours previous to the game, the game went well.

I’m going to need new skates soon though. Blisters everywhere.

    ohhh that’s what you meant by do over. i thought you had your eyebrows done in the shape of a ref’s jersey or something.

    btw, i’ve been meaning to talk to you about your eyebrows. that and your toenails. nasty. just nasty.
