Five years ago, the world changed.

I was beginning the process of removing myself from my bed when my roommate came flying into the basement suite from his morning run.

He immediately turned on the TV and yelled that “They attacked New York!”

We watched CNN replay the WTC twin towers crumbling to the ground over and over again. We were in disbelief and struggling with words as we watched the beginning of WWIII.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to meet people that were impacted directly. One of those people was a lady we call shoshy, an EMT in New York whose son is a NYC Police Officer.

Read and watch Shoshy’s story over at TheLife.com, a website I’m involved with developing.

Where were you five years ago? How did your life change?
