Grandpa’s Funeral

I’m heading to Young, Saskatchewan with Ava for my Grandpa Bill’s funeral. We’re flying out at 6:10 am (2 hours from now) and I wasn’t able to fall asleep tonight so it looks like I’ll need to take a little nap on the plane.

Hopefully Ava will sleep.

Grandpa died at 12:30 Tuesday morning after having a stroke (his second in 3 years) on Father’s Day.

    Thank you for your prayers.

    The weekend turned out to be more family reunion than a funeral. I met a lot of relatives I had never met before and was reacquainted with cousins I hadn’t seen in over a decade.

    The funeral, a Roman Catholic event, was actually really beautiful.
