Abdul Rahman is a Fool (like me)

The Western outcry over the Afghanistan “trial” of Abdul Rahman, although late in coming is not surprising. Even CAIR has called for him to be freed (probably with their fingers crossed behind their backs.) I want to join the rest of the Christian community in prayer for Abdul and ask God to allow him to be able to share his story of conversion to Christianity with more people.
However, I think there is something that Abdul wants everyone to know.
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21
I find it very interesting that the courts have sent him to a psychiatrist. I guess every Christian should be. Paul agrees.
“For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like men condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to men. We are fools for Christ…
How many Christians would be willing to die because of their faith? I hope I would. Maybe the reason the Christian world is so shocked and scared this is happening is because it makes us question our own faith. The public / political nature of it being in Afghanistan makes us upset but should we be surprised?
Christians have been dying for their faith by the thousands even now. What makes Abdul so different?

Heya,
It’s suprising the number of Christian Web Designers I have come across lately. I followed your site link from SimplBits, and have added your RSS Feed to Sage.
Glad to see that Christ’s word isn’t restricted to Church and Evangelical sites!
Good job.
