Grey Cup 2005

Julie’s Uncle Marcel gave my father in law and myself, tickets to Grey Cup 2005. Woohoo, it was a great game after the second half had started. The first half was actually quite boring (Edmonton 10, Montreal 1) but the second half made it worth every penny that I didn’t spend.
My seats were right on the 30 yard line, section 12, level 4, seat 4, row A. That means I was the first row in the balcony on the 30. Great seats, in fact I think I had a better view all around than Prime Minister Martin, who sat below us about 10 rows in front of us.
Poor Paul ended up in hostile territory tonight. I think the only people who applauded for him when he went out to do the coin toss were the Montreal fans who made the trek to REFORM party territory. I’m quite sure it wasn’t the Alberta visitors. I found it quite funny that Paul Martin did the coin toss. I guess its probably due to his experience throwing around other people’s money. I’m pretty sure that he took the coin after to give to one of his Liberal party supporters.
Funny story: Scotiabank sponsored a trip for two to the Grey Cup 2006 which is being hosted by Winnipeg next year. After the PA announcer explained the prize as being the flights, tickets to the game and 3 days in Winnipeg , a funny-drunk guy sitting down the row from us yelled, “The second prize is a WEEK in Winnipeg.”
Congrats to the Esks for squeaking out the double OT win. I actually cheered for them as Paul Martin is a Montreal fan.
What is an Alouette anyway?

thats cool you got to go. so did bc have a meltdown this year?

Oh ya, meltdown is the correct word. They went 11-0 to start the year then 1-7 to finish off the season. They had a bye to the Western Final and lost that to Edmonton.
I was hoping to see a BC/Sask Grey Cup but it was not to be.

personally, i think they should let cloutier go. as good of a guy as he might be for the organization and his teammates, he could very well be the thing keeping us from the promised land.
