My mom came to stay at my place for a few days. Julie’s stuff arrived in a U-Haul from Winnipeg and my mom was nice enough to make the trip down to help unpack and clean. She’s amazing. Anyways, the reason I’m writing this update is to tell a funny story.

Mom and I walked to Save-on-Foods to pick up a few necessities. On the walk back we were passing a strip mall and my mom got all excited because she saw a “Vegetarian Store.” She wanted to check it out because she’s into organic foods and vitamins. I rolled my eyes as she started walking towards the store. About 15 feet in front of the store I couldn’t take it anymore and I pointed out that the neon sign in the window actually said “Veterinarian.” I wonder how long we would have looked at dog food with “REAL MEAT” advertised on it before she caught on.
