Occasionally we invite the neighbours over for a barbecue and try to kill them. Today, we pulled out the jar of pickles from the fridge and after Julie tried to find the expiry date (it had faded too much) and fed them to Jason. Last time it was moldy buns.
Seriously, we weren’t sure if pickles went bad. Unfortunately, I found this handy Table Of Condiments That Periodically Go Bad a little too late. [via]
Jason, we apologize, and next time we will invite the other neighbours over the next time we need to clean out the fridge.
It may not all be bad though, according to Yahoo Answers, about half of those that responded to the question of whether pickles go bad seemed to think that you might be ok. Then there’s jdhayman…
They do but it takes years and when the do go bad it is not good for the other stuff in the fridge. They pimp out the tomatoes. Sell crack to the olives. It is bad…very bad indeed
You didn’t eat any olives tonight., did you?

We’ll eat anything if it’s a free! (Except ice cream cake.)
We’re sending over some free salad dressing in the morning.
Our bleu cheese will be walking over by itself.
How can you tell if bleu cheese went bad?
bleu cheese is bad as soon as you buy it.
Good point Kelly. :)
Sorta like Sour Cream. Or Feta cheese.
